DESCRIPTION:Join HydroComp’s Technical Director\, Donald MacPherson\, for a demonstration and review of the NavCad 2023 software for hydrodynamic and propulsion system simulation. Built upon a “Vessel-Propulsor-Drive” system framework\, NavCad provides the necessary tools for those interested in resistance and propulsion modeling\, proper drive and propulsor component selection\, evaluation of fuel consumption\, optimizing vessel performance\, and even the new EEXI regulation to reduce CO2. The demonstration will cover these key topics: introduction to the V-P-D system\, data requirements and sources\, prediction models and results\, confidence feedback\, and supplemental tools including the new “EEXI Assessment” utility.
