Care and feeding of your security key
Miscellaneous Musings from the Technical Director

Monday, 14-MAY-2007 by Donald MacPherson - Technical Director

Every so often, we get a call from a customer that they broke their security key (i.e., dongle, hardware lock). Back in the days of printer port keys, this was an infrequent event. Since we began supporting USB keys, however, we have seen a more keys that were truly "broken"...

In-House Software: Risk or Asset?
Miscellaneous Musings from the Technical Director

Monday, 19-FEB-2007 by Donald MacPherson - Technical Director

You read Stephanie's article from her trip to the SINAVAL show, in which she did her own musing about in-house software. VBA is most often used from within Excel for technical calculations, but it is also part of Word and Access, for example, and has been licensed for use in many non-Microsoft products. Three cheers to those responsible at Webb for a good decision!...

New Features for NavCad

Monday, 11-JUL-2006 by Stephanie McArdle - EU Sales and Marketing

This summer’s round of MSU’s is just around the corner. Our project engineers have been working hard to develop substantial new features. NavCad users will be happy to see a new cavitation prediction method for those props operating in a transcavitating mode. For those of you who attended the WMTC, in London, back in March, you probably caught Don MacPherson’s presentation “Inboard Propeller Cavitation: A Practical Guide and New Performance Model (pdf).”...
